Pokey LaFarge headlined this year’s Record Store Day event at Vintage Vinyl and had a huge crowd spilling out onto Delmar to catch the performance. While the store had a full day of bands, jet lag had me limited to just catching Pokey and the always fun Bruiser Queen.
While Day One of LouFest had a more relaxed pace, Day Two felt more about maximizing the schedule and pacing between stages and the media tent to round up more pictures. But even with some worn out feet, there was still a ton to enjoy between acts at the national (Avett Brothers, Young the Giant) and hometown highlights (Pokey LaFarge, American Wrestlers).
With the release of his newest album, Something in the Water, local favorite Pokey LaFarge held a record release celebration, which included a Saturday afternoon packed in-store at Vintage Vinyl. Continue reading
