Pokey LaFarge headlined this year’s Record Store Day event at Vintage Vinyl and had a huge crowd spilling out onto Delmar to catch the performance. While the store had a full day of bands, jet lag had me limited to just catching Pokey and the always fun Bruiser Queen.
The first day of LouFest was probably the craziest environment to shoot in with it being a mudfest from the prior evening rain, but that still didn’t diminish some great sets put on by headliners (Chris Stapleton, Band of Horses) and locals (Bruiser Queen, Foxing) alike.

Indianapolis crew We Are Hex headlined the showcase at Vintage Vinyl for Record Store Day 2015 and bringing their blistering performance to the daytime store crowd. Along with Bruiser Queen and plenty of Schlafly on tap, it was a great day for music fans in the Loop.
In a neat intersection of music performance and music photography, Vintage Vinyl invited in Bruiser Queen for an in-store performance and exhibition of work by photographer Bryan Sutter. The evening was made even better with some complimentary Schlafly beers served up for crowd. Check out select shots from the event below.
