With the clock ticking down to the performance later that night at Old Rock House, Matthew Vasquez (lead singer of Delta Spirit) dropped by the KDHX studios to record acoustic versions of “California” and “Empty House.” Go forth and stream the recordings – they’re fantastic. Aside from being an amazing singer, Vasquez turned out to be quite the ham in front of the camera, hopping on someone’s moped for one of my favorite pictures this year with Nico Leone of Coin Operated Radio.
