Last December, I tried to catch Relient K’s acoustic show at Off Broadway. Pulling up to the venue, I saw the line stretching for blocks and then proceeded to turn around and go home. Getting the chance to enjoy three songs of their Warped Tour set up close in the pit nicely made up for that last missed opportunity.
The Good: The crowd eating up their cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.”
The Bad: With Mmhmm really being the only album of theirs I’ve spent significant time with, I didn’t feel so familiar with most of the set.
The Irrelevant: Did anyone else find it weird to hear Lucero (who played right before them) introduce Relient K?
