In preparation for their in-studio session for Chris Bay’s show Gold Soundz, I took on repeated listenings to Yellow Ostrich‘s latest album Strange Land. Oh man, if you haven’t heard it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. And then head over to the KDHX website to stream a three song set (Elephant King / Marathon Runner / The Shakedown) recorded by the trio.
After the jump, feel free to check out some shots from the session.
Even before their first show in St. Louis, Yellow Ostrich stopped at the KDHX studios to record a set and interview for Gold Soundz. Here’s an outtake from the session with the group.
Be sure to head over to the KDHX website for a first look and we’ll be back here in a few with more photos and a recap.
Welcome to Radar Blips, where I quickly highlight three shows that catch my eye. Go see a show and make sure I don’t forget to buy flowers for my wife’s birthday.
