The Luminary Arts closed its doors to both their 2012 Elevator Music Concert Series and their time at the corner of Reber with a performance by the quirky folk-rap group WHY? and the equally mishmash pairing of Naytronix and The Black Swans as openers.

WHY? closed out The Luminary Arts’ time at its Reber location and the 2012 Elevator Music Concert Series. Zammuto @ The Luminary Arts w/Lymbyc Systym, Ou Ou } 10.08.12
The Luminary Arts’ Elevator Series is on the homestretch at their current location before moving to Cherokee Street, with Zammuto (with Books alum Nick Zammuto at the helm) providing an evening of their quirky hybrid of electronics and indie-rock with the assistance of Lymbyc Systym and local duo Ou Ou.

Butt. Zebra butt. Ex-Books member Nick Zammuto brought his new band to the Luminary Arts for a quirky visual performance.

The Luminary Arts‘ Elevator Series latest offering, Washed Out, was possibly too large for the Luminary’s basement confines and moved over the eclectic Plush for an evening of dreamy electronics, with locals CaveofswordS opening. Bright lights and equally blown out shots. Here’s a selection of shots from the evening.

With Attack On Memory winning over the critics, Cloud Nothings set up shop at The Luminary Arts to knock out the crowd with their killer riffs and assaulting drums.
