Based solely on their promo picture, I had no idea what to expect from local band Blood Pony.
No lasers. Sorry.
But Blood Pony does offer up a brigade of guitars, percussion, strings brought together under Jim Walker’s vocals. With so many instruments, Blood Pony’s sound is rich and full-bodied and seems to swell and crescendo at the right times. If you see their name pop up as the opening act for for alt-country / folk acts coming through, treat yourself to a fun show and check them out.
