They’ve officially torn up Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at this point in the evening, but earlier today Cage the Elephant stopped by Vintage Vinyl for a special in-store performance and signing. We have more pictures from the event coming up, but in the meantime, here’s a shot of the band hanging out upstairs during setup.
Day One of LouFest done! It’s amazing to see how quickly the festival has grown and I’m back again shooting for Speakers in Code. In the meantime, here’s an outtake from today’s portrait session with Jukebox the Ghost. Here’s what happens when you leave your Weatherbird costume lying around the tents. More pics to come!
KDHX (and Collector’s Edition) was thrilled to have Gogol Bordello stop by this afternoon for a rowdy in-studio session and interview. Their tour rolls through The Pageant tonight, so head on down to the Loop!
Be sure to head over to the KDHX website for a first look at pictures and we’ll be back here later with more photos and a recap.

Treat yo self tonight and head down to Off Broadway to catch The Staves, hosted by our friends at Speakers In Code.
Record Store Day 2013 was a fantastic day across St. Louis and I parked myself at Vintage Vinyl for most of the day. I wasn’t seeking after any RSD releases, but just took in the sounds of guest DJs inside, bands outside and the general camaraderie with other music lovers in the city. Oh yeah, and the stellar Josh Ritter performed a set outside for a crowd spilling onto the Delmar streets.
Here’s a quick pic of him post-performance. Be sure to head over to the KDHX website for a first look at pictures and we’ll be back here later in the week with more photos and a recap.
