Sarah Siskind opened the evening, showcasing the voice and songs that translated into a tour with Bon Iver, including “Simple Love,” which was recorded by Alison Krauss.

The former member of Nickel Creek fiddled and stomped through her set, which included covers of Tom Waits and the Everly Brothers, as well as previews from her upcoming release Sun Midnight Sun. The hazy lights at the venue certainly weren’t ideal for shooting, but Watkins’ warm persona and sweet tunes still made it a great night to just chill out with a good beer in the basement of Blueberry Hill.
