The thought of Asian Man Records and Fat Wreck Chords takes me back to my college days. Check out the Chicago punk rock band when they stop through our fine city.

Kishi Bashi | Sat. 1/14 | Off Broadway

I recognize the multi-instrumentalist the most for his recent work with Of Montreal, but did you know that he’s toured as a violinist with Regina Spektor and Katy Perry? He’s opening for the Hibernauts, so make sure you show up on time!

The Civil Wars | Sun. 1/15 | The Pageant

Nearly two years ago, I stumbled across this two-piece band opening for Seabird at Cicero’s. The Civil Wars have blown up since then, selling out the Old Rock House last year and now selling out the bigger stage at the Pageant. It’s been sold out for a while, so cozy up to some friend who has an extra ticket.
