With comparisons to Thrice, the NY band Moving Mountains was one act I made sure to catch.

The Good: It’s a little strange, but the post-punk sound didn’t seem readily available elsewhere, with most acts in the area skewing more towards pop or metal. Moving Mountains turned out to have one of the more unique sounds of my day at Warped.

The Bad: The band’s demeanor felt a little detached and I think could have benefited from some more interaction between songs.

The Irrelevant: Speaking of Thrice, MM is coming back in October (Pop’s) to open for them.
